I want to know if Caribbean pirates are real like in Pirates of the Caribbean. Do they still have the same characteristics as the pirates in POTC?

yeah they do my dad went on a mission out to sea and he never came back One time he was out at sea for work and i think he sent a letter saying that he was cornered sort of by pirates i dont know which pirates but he said in his letter he was met by pirates and i think he became a pirate though And then i think he was KIA (killed in action) when a big war broke out i forget but yes..................... they are real
They wore eyeliner just like in POTC. CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow wore eyeliner. Doesn't that relate to your answer?

ALSO, Pirates were criminals. There weren't good pirates. If you are looking for a good version of Pirates, those would be Privateers.
