I believe people eat most animals. Whales are hunted for blubber and meat quite often. Harpoons where commonly used to kill whales. Whales are killed for blubber which can be used as a fuel and eaten. There skin is also used for clothing. For example a whales skin on its penis is used for bowties.

Yes. Historically, whale meat was consumed in Western Europe and Colonial America. However, nowadays the practice is carried out in countries such as Japan, Iceland, Canada and Norway.
This practice is very controversial in the modern world since blue whales are endangered.
Interestingly enough, Norweigan-based research suggests that the carbon footprint from eating whale meat is substantially lower than that of eating beef. Xoxo
