I bought four games from steam and only one of them works. I have tried everything I can think of but nothing has helped. They all say that they are missing either a GL 1.5 or higher or that Direct3D is missing. How can I fix this so that I can actually play the games?

You have to work out the display adapter (graphics card) that your computer has and then update the drivers for it.
Once you have the name you can go to the website of the manufacturer and download the most recent drivers.
Go back to the Steam store page and see what the requirements for the games are.
It is just a suggestion, but have you tried running the games in compatibility mode?
Through windows find the steam folder, then access the game folder (for the game you want to play) and find the .exe (executable file), right click on it, go to the bottom tab "properties" and select a previous version of Windows for this game, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't!
