Any free french programs similar to Rosetta Stone?

I am going to drop french class and want to make sure there aren't any alternatives to Rosetta Stone as it is pretty pricy.  It has to be approved by my principal for me to take online.  Thanks

Just buy the book at the school bookstore )or keep the one you have) and do the homework in it. You can buy text books at amazon.com very cheaply. That is how I learned Russian, Spanish, and Chinese. (I didn't get very far with Chinese.)
