I need to upgrade the memory for a computer that has;

Type: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 520
Size (MB): 6144 MB
Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
Speed: 2.40GHz
Slots: 2 SODIMM slots
to something better, plus I need the cost for any and all upgrades made.
Any help soon would be appreciated!

Your computer has a specific panel on the under side where your RAM is housed. Open it with a screwdriver (Carefully, and remember this WILL void your warranty. Guaranteed.) Unclip them, each RAM stick will have a clamp on either side of it, carefully unseat the sticks and remove them. They willl likely be lying down, you will have to pull them up softly and then out. Buy your' new RAM sticks and repeat that process backwards. Or as an alternative,
