Any 8 bit rpgs where u can level up your stats like hp strength, speed etc by training. l?

Any of the old Final Fantasy games (four is a great place to start, though five is pretty great and has an awesome job system)
The Zelda games are supposed to pretty great too, but I haven't really played much of them.
Persona 3 and 4 are good too, there a little dark and mature, but it's mild PG-13
Of course, any of the Pokemon games, don't overlook them, there great too.
