I'm in the 8th grade. I've participated in many extracurricular activities (like band, academic team, robotics, ROTC, student council, etc.). I have wonderful behavior and I haven't gotten in trouble once through middle school. I had good grades at the end of each year, and made honor roll in 6th grade. I was in gifted classes (and still am). My grades have always been slow at first, so my grades now are bad (It's the 1st semester still). I'm failing in algebra 1 and I have a C in Adv ELA. My grades are good in all others, especially my tech class.
If I bring those two grades up by the 4th 9 weeks (2nd half of 2nd semester), will my beginning bad grades change my chances of getting into IB? What can I do to develop better study habits and get increased chances?
