Okay, so from everything I read, people seem mixed on this, but I'm seriously considering giving my girlfriend a promise ring.
In July, we'll have been together for about four years, with a year of that being on and off. We've been through a hell of a lot, but have wound up back together both times. We're both turning 20 this year, both Sophmores going on Junior soon in college. I'm hopefully off to school a few states away in August while she continues going to school here. I feel that after 4 years, and so much talk about our future and where we are in college and life, that the time is right on our 4 year anniversary, esp. if I'm going off to school somewhere else to complete my degree, it will serve as a reminder to her.
