... bottom of the tank with a bloody nose (soon observed trying to jump out of the tank) and blood coming out of his gills. Convinced he was in pain and dying I put him to sleep with clove oil. It later occurred to me to check the water level and the ammonia was off the charts. I’m horrified that I put him to sleep to quickly. Has anyone ever seen a goldfish like that, actual blood coming from gills or can reassure me my fish couldn’t have been saved
