Hello, I'm 23 taking no medications. I rarely drink [Monthly, socially] and have had a persistent problem with drinking 'hard alcohol' since my first drink. After taking a shot of alcohol I produce MASSIVE amounts of saliva. My estimation is if I take a shot I then can hold the shotglass under my mouth and I salivate in excess, being i produce a volume of saliva equal to about 30% of the size of the alcohol content i ingest. I tried google as this is simply beyond annoying at this point but can't find anything. It's not "serious" I would say as producing a extremely large amount of saliva is all that happens but its embarrassing.
Alcohol causea extream salivation?

i think the alcohol is causing this the smell when we drink the alcohol takes and drys out our system and when we drink it can over extend our saliva that we have in our bodys so the reaction we get is over extended amounts of saliva to try and put the moisture back into our system so i believe thats whats causing it
