As the title says, I smoked one cigarette offered by a stranger, it tasted awful and my tongue felt weird while smoking it. I heavily regret smoking and want to stop, it was about my fourth ever. He said the cigarettes were old, but I don't believe that effects the tobacco. I have a very weird feeling on my tongue and throat, despite it being three days ago. The feeling can't really be described, but it's like a painless burn, or it feels like a dry throat but itchy and weird, no idea. However I'm only concerned if I'm getting lung cancer or throat only after a couple, I'm often around smokers and inhale a lot of it. Am I getting throat or lung cancer? This feeling is very uncomfortable and makes me very anxious and frightened. Please, help me out with everything you've got, I'm very afraid of something effecting me.

You have been struggling to quit smoking for a little over a year now. It seems like you will quit successfully for one or two months, and then end up relapsing. When you do smoke, it is very lightly, as in one or two cigarettes a day, unless you go out drinking for a night, at which time you smoke more heavily.
Lately, immediately during, and after smoking a cigarette, you begin to suffer from pretty severe depression and anxiety for a period of about 25 minutes. It will start approximately half way through the cigarette. Generally, you will start feeling like a failure, because of how long you have been trying to quit, but obviously haven't. Then, a couple of minutes later, you will get racing, and disturbing thoughts and the depression worsens.
