Recently my boyfriend and I went out on the town drinking, during the night I thought he was perving on other women so I slapped him, I take anti depressants and had not eaten food all day, so I was heavily intoxicated, we decided to get a ride home with my friend, when an argument started in the car and I started to punch him in the face and head over and over with closed fists, at first he covered up, then he tried to tell my friend that he was being punched and called she hear it, as we were in the back . Then he lost it and punched me back and the fight stopped, he was covered in blood, and I had blood coming from my nose as well. I have lost my friends now because he hit back. He is very remorseful for not being able to restrain himself from hitting back and has booked into a men's behaviour course and stopped drinking, I have stopped drinking as well, can anybody give me there opinion on the situation please? Is he as bad as what he now thinks he is, and my friends think? I have known him for 27 years and I have only punched him once before for which he did not hit back but pushed me away. Can anybody help me please?

i was saying this is good that you stopped drinking two wrongs don't make it right and if anybody hit one another is to great either it puts some very bad things on your back ground and can cause all kinds of different problems you wish didn't occur it might wake a person up i don't believe that he thinks he is bad but that he learned a tough lesson
