I haven't paid attention in maths since 6th grade but now that I am in grade 10. I couldn't understand a thing. Any advice on how I can catch up with the stuff?

The easiest way to remember things is bringing the most memorable scene in your mind this is the MOST IMPORTANT STEP so think of something that you can easily visualize in your imagination, maybe the street you live. The stop sign (or the first turn) is the farthest from you.
your mission is keeping attention to the (teacher, book or boss) they tell you an important step you must take, it could be an equation a list of groceries or a task you need to complete.
you must remember to turn off the lights after you leave. at the "stop sign'' or ''first turn'' after you finished your chores imagine the light switch is the Eiffel tower it will fall over if you don't turn off the switch.
you can easily apply this to numbers and it will keep you paying attention if you have to imagine things for math because let's be honest staring at numbers for most people is not that fun and when you're not concentrating your thoughts easily wonder
