my nine years old pom needs teeth cleaning and two molars extracted, i was told by a friend that vets are not qualified to do this, i should go to a hygenist, i was told that all the vets that works at this pet hospitals does dental work all the time, should i be worried? iam already worried about her going under unastisia, suggestion? or should i say help????
thanks for answering, the vet has this girl that helps with the anastisia and keeping the vital on check (not very good at saying the right thing not good at this) they have a tech that helps, do you think that is sufficient to feel safe going trough it, iam so afraid and this lady on facebook said that vets do not know how to do dental work, and i know as a fact that they do that all the time and the extraction is what is worrying me also, two molars one is pretty bad, iam so afraid for my dog and i would die if any thing would to happen to her , iam so afraid to even ask about if they use a dog dentist to do that because my vet she got really offended when she put one of my other dog on an inhealer and another friend told me it was dangerous so i told her what i was told and she got very upset because my friend is not a vet so she should not have said that, but i know they mean well, so this is why iam afraid to even suggest to have a dog dentist, it will cost me an arm and leg either way, so i rather be safe than sorry! what do you think?
thanks for taking the time to answer
