how do you rearrange this formula

Stop thinking about "rearranging" formulas. The rule is you can do any valid operation on both sides of an equation and it will still be equal. We call that "solve for x" or some other unknown.
A(X+B)=C TIP: Add spaces to improve readability.
A(X + B) = C TIP: Get out of the habit of hitting Shift just because you start a new line. X is not x and a math program will not tell you that you made a spelling mistake, it will just give you goofy results. In this case I have to assume that you really meant to use all capital letters.
Ok, let's solve for X. First divide by A.
X + B = C/A Now subtract B.
X = C/A - B <-- ANSWER
