... is completely full with water, how many cubic feet of water will it hold?

volume of a cylinder = area of the base multiplied by the height
V = Ab x h
since it was stated that the well will be completely filled with water, we will use h = 4.5m
V = pi * 0.75^2 * 4.5 = 7.95 m^3
now convert it to feet^3
V = 7.95m^3 * (3.281 ft/1m)^3 = 280.793 cubic feet
another solution is to convert all the dimensions to feet before computing for the volume
r = 0.75m = 2.46 feet
h = 4.5m = 14.76 feet
V = pi * 2.46^2 * 14.76 = 280.61 cubic feet
