I have an English assignment and my writing is fine, I just can't think of a good plot/story to write about. It can be fiction/nonfiction, less than a 6-hour timeline and needs to centre around any sort of power and manipulation.

You could have an evil dictator who's trying to brainwash everybody, a protagonist who is resistant to the brainwashing and is going to stop the dictator but doesn't know it yet. This happens over 6 hours. You can use a double perspective, i.e 1/2 the story from the view of the dictator and 1/2 from the protagonist's view.
