A question about grammar?

Hi I'm learning English now. I have a question about English grammar.

> Throw a party for your friends and tell them to come as the person (           ) they want to be in 10 years.

I thought  'that' or 'whom' would be possible,but the answer on the textbook is 'that' or 'which'. I know 'which' is available in case of modifying prior phrase but it does not seem to be the case of using it. So can you explain why the answer must include 'which'?

I'm with a speaking teacher from Britain, but still we've got no clue.

Answer

Just ask a question: 'which person?' The answer should be a direct object. So, since the sentence demands a direct object, 'that' and 'which' must be the right answer: 'that' ---> direct obejct, 'which' ---> direct object.
Suppose you insist that 'that' and 'whom' should be the answer, 'that' ---> direct object, 'whom' ---> indirect object.
