He asked me out after a day. I said I wanted to get to know him better before we go out. I chatted online with him for a week. He began to be a bit intense for me. So I was polite and told him I enjoyed talking to him but I don't think this will work out. Now he is being a little pushy and says he needs closure. What do I say.?

Closure for a week's worth of chatting online is this, "Bob, I'm not feeling a connection but it has been great talking with you and I wish you the best of luck finding your Ms. Right, bye bye." Click.
There is absolutely no need to meet in person and I would not recommend it. ALWAYS go with your gut feeling. It's telling you this is a no-go, so believe it. I'm in support of what you said. You handled it well getting to know each other on the phone first and this is why, you found something that made you uncomfortable and your instinct said not this one.
Do not give any further reasons why and keep it light hearted.
When you meet one that interests you, always meet in a busy well lighted place, don't let them pick you up and tell someone where you are meeting during the day preferably for lunch or coffee.
Good luck with the next one!!
