Well.. i recently made this tattoo that has been getting a lot of negativity since i did it, people sigh, look the other way in a very rude and negative way and make annoying comments about it . I did because a girl i really like and basically am in love with drew it on me a couple of times,she said it represents my last name (it does in a very wacky and cheesy way). i liked it and told her i really love the idea and i would probably do it as a tattoo in a joke way . I actually did like it and still do but all this negativity around it makes me feel very uncomfortable with it when i meet with people that haven't seen it yet, worrying they might make a rude comment about how pointless it is and if i say the connection with my last name it gets worse, so now i just say i did it because i liked it... but that also gets negative responses . i cant tell anyone about the girl thing because she is my best friends ex and i know he will be very bothered by it if he learns something. Its not like i really care what people think , but people like family and parents and people that matter in my life, i haven't showed them yet and don't intend too till i find a good excuse (meaning) as too why i did it. i cant hide it either because i did it on my wrist and its very hot in my country so no long sleeves wont save me. What i ask of u is to find a "meaning" too my tattoo something i can tell people just to get them off my back about how bad it is , anything that can help... don't tell me " if u dont care what they say why does it matter" or "if u like it , whats the problem" these comments dont help just tell me something i can tell people that isnt going to make them react negatively please. Something smart, you would be doing wonders for my life . my tattoo is a two facing arrow <=> something like this but the middle is smaller,its a bery smal tattoo and its parallel too my arm. literally anything that can help my situation, like tips of any kind would help. keep in mind im young thats why i did it so thoughtlessly and fast , not thinking through how it would look to people. to sum up find a smart "meaning" to a tattoo that looks like <=> more or less and is on my wrist. My thoughts are pretty general here, things that came to my mind were: "because of love", "because of sillyness", "because it's who I am, what I am like", even all of the above together. What really matters is the attitude you seem to be giving away while talking about it and living with it. If you seem like it's an obvious part of you while walking around with it and everyone else seeing it it will gather a lot less negative attention or attention of any kind really. While I understand that you want to have a good answer ready I think that the answer probably already is deep in your mind and you'll find it with or without anyone's help anyway. In the end the only thing that matters is what YOU think and that is the message you want others to get, both from your actions and words.
