you cannot divide .45/apple evenly among 4.40 but the answer comes out the same and round it, answer is still 10. If i use this method if she sold apples at .45. In the end made 4.50. So...

.45(an apple)/4.50 = 10 apples
She ate 2 apples (12-2)
She had 12 apples, ate 2, she made 4.50 from selling 10 apples.

She made 4.40 (or 4.50) by selling 10 apples (4.40÷10= .1022) ( round .10)
