A depth of a crater is 20k deep, if the kinetic energy of impact was 4.2x10(23) what is the force?

First thing first, you need to explain something to me. What is 20K? Kelvin, the unit of temperature? What is 4.2*10(23)? Do you mean 4.2*10^23? And what is the gravitational force? Is it on another planet or does it happen on Earth? Assuming that It is on planet Earth and the crater you described is 20 kilometers deep, then we use the formula: PE beginning = KE ending. mgh (mass*gravitational force*height) = 1/2mv^2 (one half of the mass times velocity squared) but, in this case, we are given the KE. So, mass = 4.2*10^23/(2.0*10^4m * 9.81m/s^2)= 2.14*10^18kg. lastly, Force=mass*accelerlation=2.14*10^18*9.81=2.1*10^19N
