I am a Fijian passport holder with a UK resident visa because I am a soldier in the British Army.I split with my Czech wife recently and she has custody of our 3 year old son.She has relocated back to the Czech republic so I'm now just trying to figure out how I'm going to see my son.We were ok in Germany as I had another visa type stamp which allowed me to work and travel around that side of Europe but now I'm back in the UK.I have only served 3 and half years in the Army so my entitlement to a British passport is impossible at the moment. Please help.

No, UK resident visa holders do not typically need a Schengen visa to visit Schengen countries for short stays (usually up to 90 days within a 180-day period). However, they must ensure that their UK visa allows for multiple entries and check for any specific requirements based on their nationality and the type of UK visa they hold. It's always advisable to verify the latest visa regulations and entry requirements before traveling.
