So I'm not sure if people are aware of the 30 Day Fitness Challenges but I really want to ask the ladies (and men) out there who have completed them and get a review as to if it worked. If so did it really only take 30 days and if not what could I do? I have no fitness gear so I can only work with my body weight. I really want to tone up my core and legs. Help is much appreciated :)

Hi Julieb
You should see some results in that time, but see the 30 day point as the beginning rather than the end. Use it to introduce some lifestyle changes.Try not to over complicate things, as long as whatever you're doing is getting you moving and your heart rate up 4-6 times per week and gradually gets more challenging you'll see results.
Drink plenty of water, be sensible and control your portions.
There are a LOT of variables with this and the answer really is specific to the person. It depends on how much you have to lose and where you are currently. In general, you want to lose roughly 1-2lbs per week, so it will depend on how many pounds it takes to get to your goal. Generally speaking, 30 days is way too fast. Even fitness and bikini competitors take 16-20 weeks to get ready for a show and they are already lean starting out! For consistent weight loss of 1-2lbs per week, there will be a specific caloric intake and specific caloric expenditure amount that will be required which can easily be calculated by a professional. You don't want to guess how much to eat and how much exercise to do because you most likely will do it incorrectly until you have been educated on how to do it. For you to keep muscle and lose fat, your nutrition needs to be spot on or you run the risk of losing muscle for weight instead of fat.
