A family member of mine who is 8 still poops her pants. This has been going on for a while now. She was potted trained at a decent age and started pooping her pants around the age of 6 or so. It happens everywhere she goes, she can be around friends her age and does it. Her mother has taken her to the doctor and one has given her everything to laxatives to clean her out and a daily stool softener (not sure if her mother has followed through) and another Dr says it is a psychological thing (which I know her mother never followed through with). Another thing is that the smell is not normal. It is a very strong potent smell. I feel bad for her because I know she is gets embarrassed people say she smells. All in all she is a great kid, but it makes it hard to get close to her or invite her over because of this. Just wondering if anyone has a answers to why this may be happening or what I could tell her mother to do? Thank you!
