My washer was in spinning mode when it started shaking from being overloaded.. I opened the lid and shook the inside basket from side to side to even out the clothes.I closed back the lid, and the washer went completely dead.. Now it doesnt do anything.. It wont spin or drain the water. It will fill with water because I tried putting it back on that setting, but it wont rinse, drain or do anything else. Does this mean I have to reset it or did I break it? Please help. =( I have a small space whaser and dryer GE Stackable combo.

It sounds like you may have tripped a safety feature.
When you opened the lid while the washer was spinning, you likely activated a safety mechanism designed to prevent accidents. This mechanism might have disabled the machine's functions to ensure it's safe to open.
Here are a few things you can try:
-Unplug and Replug: Sometimes, a simple power cycle can reset the machine. Unplug the washer, wait a few minutes, and plug it back in.
-Check the Circuit Breaker: Ensure the circuit breaker hasn't tripped due to the sudden imbalance. Reset it if necessary.
-Look for Error Codes: If your washer has a digital display, check for any error codes. These can provide clues about the issue.
-Consult the Manual: Refer to your washer's user manual for specific troubleshooting steps or safety instructions.
If these steps don't resolve the issue, it's possible that the machine has suffered internal damage. You may need to call a professional appliance repair technician to diagnose and fix the problem.
