In 'bout 2 weeks my mother is having a hysterectomy. I'm still living with her ( not old enough to move out ) and when she comes home I'm wondering how I can help. And wondering how will it be before she can go places?? What can she eat and not eat? All comments are apprecitated! Thank you! Have a great day! ;-)

well hysterectomy surgery is a lighter surgery now then it has been she should start to recover within mabe 2-4 weeks and she'll beable to get around slowly at first but will get around pretty good when she gets home just make her comfortable you can cook for her help get her things assist her in things you feel you can do I'm sure you'll be just fine
I just finished a course and the therapist was saying an abdominal binder helps with the pain and the adhesion formation. About 4-6 weeks post surgery, start moving the contents of the abdomen so that they don't become adhered down. She is lucky to have someone looking after her.
