or possibly engine? Sound is similiar to airplane take off. 1st time car buyer and know nothing about them

Answer

If the noise is only while driving it is probably a faulty wheel bearing. If it is loud get it fixed soon, before the bearing seizes and damages your axle or the wheel falls off.
