How do I get a boy to like me in 5th grade?

I have been in your place many times and trust me, this will come up for the rest of your life. Eventually you will get better at talking to a guy through experience, so it's time to experiment! Theres no set of rules for this. And its ok if your nervous. I promise it's not the end of the world. The very first step is to be friends with this guy because if yall are not friends and yall never talk, he probably doesnt have a crush on u. Start talking to him first, just a normal day to day conversation. Guys like a girl who will up his ego, so give him plenty of compliments each day. Start hanging out outside of school. Invite him to a pool party or something. Sit at lunch together. Hang out at recess. Make an effort to be his friend. The second step is to ask him. Once y'all are friends, you will feel more comfortable talking to him and asking him will be easier. At a time where it is just you and him, and nobody else is listening to yall's conversation, tell him you like him. There's not much to it. Just let the words come out of your mouth and see how he responds. If he said he doesn't like you, that's fine! Dont get your feelings hurt. Continue being friends and maybe in the next couple years or so he will. If he dais he likes you too, then that's fine too! :)
