Because when i was young i didn't care for my teeth, i had alot of issues with them, i got like 3 fillings and other issues because of it. They weren't permanent teeth however. One filling was later removed since the time of the tooth had come to fall out. However, my other two fillings are on the farthest left and right on each side on the bottom, and those are the tooth that fall from 17-21. Now i've had fillings in both of them for over 2 years and i didn't feel pain, but like 4 month ago and till today, on some days i feel pain if i bite anything with them even if VERY lightly, the temperature doesn't matter since it happens even with chips for example. However, on other days, i feel absouletely no problem with chewing and don't feel anything. sometimes it hurts on one side and not the other and vice versa, Should i be worried or what should i do?

Tooth filling procedures are generally designed to be as pain-free as possible. However, some patients may experience mild discomfort during or after the treatment. Here's why:
1. During the Procedure:
Local anesthesia is typically administered, ensuring that the area being treated is numb. This minimizes any sensation of pain.
Slight pressure or vibration from dental tools may be felt, but it’s not usually painful.
2. After the Procedure:
Mild sensitivity to hot, cold, or pressure is common for a few days.
This sensitivity generally subsides as your tooth adjusts to the filling.
3. Persistent Pain:
If the filling is too high or improperly placed, it may cause prolonged discomfort. This issue can be easily corrected by your dentist.
In rare cases, pain may indicate deeper issues, like an infection or the need for further treatment.
