Why do the caption"for external use only" written on medicines,and beauty products?

its their bacause like all other companies they dont want to get sued on a chain saw they put WARNING sharp edges so they wont get sued it means that you cant put it inside you like do not eat drink or put it inside you in you mouth all that stuff in any way cuz it can probably cause harm
