Why did Polynesian dance celebrate fertility?

How do you know that was the intended purpose? People often dance just because they like to dance, and humans also procreate for entertainment a lot more often than for baby making. Just because some women wiggle their hips doesn't mean they have sex on their minds as much as anthropologists assume they do.
That was a question from my Intro to Dance class that I needed an answer for. They actually were isolated and their fertility was celebrated so no need to preach about it. Literally was trying to find an answer for homework. Thanks tho.
