Is this story I’m working on, too similar to RWBY that it could become a problem?

I’m writing a story about a group world where the schools for over a 1000 years have created Magical Girls with the intent of fighting invasions from a group of monsters. I tried looking up in the past if this premise had been done before, but didn’t find anything. It wasn’t until I started getting in contact with an artist for it, that I found out about RWBY. That’s when my gut sank. I suffer from a level of paranoid anxiety, so for some it may sound like overreacting (or maybe not).
I tried watching some of the show, to make sure I wasn’t copying, but I couldn’t get past the first episode, it just really wasn’t my thing. So I stuck to wikis. The big similarities are

-Schools training to make fighters

-Also modern day/futuristic/fantasy setting.

-Similar horror monster enemies

-Also use of of chakra/chi/aura or whatever to fight
-One Character is a Rich Girl

Differences
-World history

-How the monsters came to be (Virus from an other world)

-Main characters:While one is a "rich girl" her dynamic with her family and her personality are totally different.

-Actual Magical Girls (transformation and everything)

-No real endgame villain, more just an impending doom

-Females can only become them (RWBY, anyone can become a Hunter)

-Need a stone to be able to activate abilities

-You can learn many things, not just combat, but magical type spells (teleportation, flight or element control)

-The world building in RWBY also very much more… dense. Mine is just a fantasy world that got screwed over by a space virus that infects things in a myriad of ways. Zombies, horror monsters, haunted land., etc. There is no creator mythology involved.

In Conclusion
I honestly don’t know what to do. As the reality of this comic becomes more and more clear, I just freak out more and more. Right now the plan is just to release the first day of school, and then maybe move on or continue depending on reactions. But I really never intended to copy RWBY.
