Google - what is the difference between classical and quantum mechanics?

Classical refers to proven physics, stuff were pretty sure exists. Quantum, as the name suggests, refers to theoretical stuff, such as worm holes (which actually really don't work but are still fun to think about)

Physics deals with the way things work in our daily lives. Quantum physics deals with the way things work in the world of the very small, smaller than atoms and molecules, things that exist in the quantum world, things that can be exampled in mathematics. We would not have cell phones without the use of quantum mechanics by the way.
