My sister Diana really wants to play baseball (NOT SOFTBALL) at her school but my Dad says baseball is "dangerous". Diana refuses to give up trying out but Dad keeps urging her to do softball instead BUT the thing is, Diana isn't all into softball. She hates playing on an all girls team when she does sports. She likes to be in a mix of boys+girls. Can she at least tryout and if she makes it, can she still play? Is it a school policy? I'm her older brother Fletcher.

I don't know which country you live in but if I am not mistaken it is illegal to discriminate by gender in most school districts in Canada & the U.S. I spent many years umpiring softball, slo-pitch, fast pitch, recreational leagues and competitive leagues and I have seen everything from blisters to broken limbs in every league. Any sport is only as dangerous as coaches and officials allow it to be.
Of course! All girls have the right to play any sport they want! It doesn't matter if they're black, white, Caucasian, Mexican, Asian, etc. all girld have the right to play any school sport they want. But she had to be really good in order to be on the team. So if she excels at every position, she might earn a spot on the team. And yeah she can try out, as long as she's good all positions. GL!
